7. What is the difference between a carpet & a rug?
Colloquially the terms “carpet” & “rug” are used interchangeably however technically any piece that is smaller than 8′ x 10′ is called a rug and bigger is called a carpet.

When it comes to area rugs there is a simple size guide that can be followed to measure the exact size of rugs that will fit your interiors. You can refer to our “Rug size guide” here. When it comes to wall-to-wall carpets, then an Autocad plan and site visit are the best ways to get the correct measurement.
